Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ezequiel Wilkinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Franky Fire!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fire closes the distance and pushes Wilkinson back into the cage.
Wilkinson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fire just stands there and leans against the cage.
Fire lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Wilkinson backwards.

Wilkinson decides to pull guard.
Fire wants to pass the guard but Wilkinson is keeping the position.
Fire preventing the sweep.
Wilkinson working a defensive guard but Fire passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wilkinson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Fire.
Wilkinson is looking to control Fire's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wilkinson avoid being mounted?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fire missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Fire is working for a submission of some sort.

Fire is working for a kimura but Wilkinson is defending it quite comfortably.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fire throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Wilkinson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Fire.
Wilkinson trying to control but Fire postures up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Wilkinson pushes Fire off looking to stand but Fire dives back in and keeps control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Fire moves into range and clinches up with Wilkinson.
Wilkinson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fire walks away with a smile on his face. Wilkinson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Fire is looking to clinch but Wilkinson is avoiding it.

Fire closes the distance and clinches.
With the fighters up against the cage, Wilkinson throws an elbow but misses.
Wilkinson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Fire to keep the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ezequiel Wilkinson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wilkinson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Still in the clinch, Fire scores with a nice short uppercut.
Wilkinson jumps guard but Fire turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Fire lands with a right to the head.


It looks like Ezequiel Wilkinson has been cut.
Wilkinson displaying some good clinch control by pressing Fire up against the cage.
Wilkinson is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Fire lands a hook that snaps the head of Wilkinson backwards.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wilkinson putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Fire in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Wilkinson takes an elbow to the temple.
Wilkinson is breathing heavily.
Fire comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.


Wilkinson is rocked!

Fire gets control of Wilkinson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Fire will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Oh Wilkinson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Fire manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Fire creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Wilkinson with a big uppercut! Wilkinson tries to clinch up but Fire pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Wilkinson to the mat! Wilkinson covers up and Fire unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Franky Fire!
