The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Snyder drops down looking for a counter takedown but Nelson sprawls and moves away.
Nelson misses with a kick to the body.
Snyder moves to clinch but Nelson breaks away
and Nelson counters with a one-two to the body.

Nelson lands a left and a right that send Snyder crashing to the mat, dazed. Nelson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Monte Snyder has been cut.
Russell Nelson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nelson lands a really nice looking cross but Snyder seems unphased.

Snyder is rocked!
Nelson lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Snyder crumples to the floor! Nelson milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
