The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kush takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Tarly looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kush moves forwards but Tarly connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Kush changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Tarly is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Kush tries to move into range but Tarly moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Kush tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tarly sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kush somewhat.

Kush ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kush looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Kush darts in looking for a takedown but Tarly gets double underhooks and turns Kush into the cage.

Kush has been working on his balance at Rabid Dog, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Tarly.

Tarly takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Tarly stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

so Kush counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Kush with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Kush has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Tarly is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kush is aware though and is defending well.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tarly can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kush drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kush jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
