Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Solis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Hands (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Solis has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexander Solis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Hands!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solis checks the leg kick nicely there.

Hands gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Hands's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Solis is trying to stall.
Hands tries to break the clinch but Solis is controlling the position.

Hands has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Solis is trying to keep an underhook but Hands manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Solis is trying to escape back to his feet but Hands uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Solis is breathing heavily.

Hands looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hands is staying tight to Solis's torso, preventing him from escaping.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Let's hope that Hands has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Hands decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Hands gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Hands pulls guard successfully.
Hands is adopting a defensive guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Hands manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Hands slowing the pace effectively.

Hands controlling Solis's posture.

Hands manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Hands scores with a takedown into Solis's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hands slips nicely into half guard.

Solis is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hands scores with a couple of nice shots.

Solis is looking to control Hands's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Solis avoid being mounted?
Hands is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hands trying to pass the guard but Solis defending well.
Hands performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dan Hands dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Hands closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hands takes a little break here. Solis wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Hands's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Hands swings around for an armbar but Solis sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hands's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hands looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hands looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Hands has his foot on Solis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Solis works his way back into a safe position though.
Solis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hands on the ground.

Hands lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Solis is working an open guard so Hands takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Hands closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Solis quickly recovers to half guard.
Solis wants to stand back up but Hands manages to pass into side control.
A lull in the action here as Hands stalls from top position.
Solis managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hands.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Solis's face as Hands controls the position.
Hands has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Hands has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Hands controlling from the full mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hands thowing shots but they're missing.
Hands looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hands misses with a head shot.

Hands is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Hands gets the takedown into side control.

Hands stands up and beckons Solis to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Hands clinches with his opponent.
Hands lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Solis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hands has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Solis regains guard immediately.
Hands slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Hands stands and throws Solis's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hands controls the position from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dan Hands showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Hands changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Solis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.


Solis is rocked!
Hands scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Solis is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Hands can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dan Hands!
