The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buitenwesten showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Vladimirovich.
Vladimirovich slips under a jab.

Vladimirovich forces Buitenwesten back against the cage and clinches.
Buitenwesten misses with a punch to the body.
Vladimirovich drops down looking for an ankle pick but Buitenwesten pulls his leg out and moves away.
Buitenwesten scores with a hook to the body. Vladimirovich takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Buitenwesten throws a right hand that Vladimirovich ducks under and follows up with a left that Vladimirovich also avoids with ease.

Buitenwesten clinches up against the cage.
Buitenwesten tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Vladimirovich's elbow.
Buitenwesten looks to throw an elbow but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Buitenwesten misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Vladimirovich.
Buitenwesten comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Buitenwesten stops a takedown attempt from Vladimirovich.
Buitenwesten tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Vladimirovich's elbow.
A nice left hand lands by Vladimirovich.

Vladimirovich turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Vladimirovich manages to end up in side control.
Buitenwesten avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Vladimirovich.
Buitenwesten tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Vladimirovich wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vladimirovich passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Buitenwesten!
Buitenwesten wants to hold on but Vladimirovich pushes him away.
Buitenwesten knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vladimirovich on the ground.
Vladimirovich lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Vladimirovich throwing strikes but Buitenwesten bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vladimirovich seems keen to control Buitenwesten's posture.
Vladimirovich trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Buitenwesten is sitting in close to Vladimirovich's body. Vladimirovich has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Buitenwesten is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Buitenwesten is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Vladimirovich.
