Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shaggy Duck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Wales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shaggy Duck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kevin Wales!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wales dodges the punch combination from Duck.

Wales closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Duck did well to prevent Wales getting side control.
Duck tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Wales manages to move to mount!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wales thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Wales just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Duck staying busy and making it hard for Wales to control.

Duck is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Wales gets his way!

Duck manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Duck shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wales as he avoids it easily.

As Duck backs off Wales throws a huge counter combo but Duck manages to avoid it all.

and Duck counters with a left and a right that stings Wales.

Duck pushes Wales up against the cage in a clinch.

Wales's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Duck lands a nice shot to the body.

Duck shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Wales wants to get back to his feet but Duck is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That was a close round but I would say that Shaggy Duck will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Duck shoots for a double leg takedown but Wales sprawls well. He's pushed Duck's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Duck dives in and grabs Wales's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wales pushes down on Duck's head and hops out.

Wales bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Duck wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Wales has Duck pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Duck manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Wales working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Duck doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Duck manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wales breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Wales throws a nice head kick!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Duck staying out of range there.
Wales tries to close the distance and clinch up but Duck swats him away and circles back towards the center.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kevin Wales showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Shaggy Duck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Wales.
Duck throws a right hand that Wales ducks under and follows up with a left that Wales also avoids with ease.
Wales tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Duck uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Wales has time to react.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Duck stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wales swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wales is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Wales has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Duck doesn't defend quickly enough and Wales has managed to lock this one up! Can Duck escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Wales on a fantastic submission victory.
