The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson shoots in but Kingston avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Ferguson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kingston to the mat! Kingston manages to get full guard.

Ferguson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ferguson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ferguson gets to his feet. Kingston looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and Ferguson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Kingston seems to be working for a kimura but Ferguson defends the submission attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kingston thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ferguson's head.
Ferguson wants to get back to full guard.
Ferguson is not content to let Kingston control the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Kingston is trying desperately to improve position.

Kingston tries to hold on but Ferguson pushes him away.

Kingston looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Ferguson is hanging on to Kingston's back as he tries to escape.

Ferguson is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Kingston with him. Kingston is trying to defend but Ferguson has an arm under the chin now! Kingston grimaces and is forced to tap out!
