Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Pablos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexei Orlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pablos closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Orlov tries to get to full guard but Pablos has control of the leg.
Pablos prevents Orlov from standing back up.

Pablos wants to work for an arm triangle but Orlov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Orlov wants to improve his position but Pablos is controlling well.
Pablos is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Pablos trying to advance position but Orlov counters by regaining guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pablos drops back looking for a leg! Orlov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Orlov manages to kick Pablos off! Pablos jumps back into Orlov's guard.
Pablos seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Pablos advances to half guard.
Orlov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pablos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pablos seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Pablos works his foot free and advances to mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Pablos tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Pablos swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
