The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaspari throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Gaspari lands with a nice combination. Wood backs away looking to recover.
Gaspari scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Wood throws a looping overhand right but Gaspari ducks down to avoid it.
Gaspari uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Gaspari is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Wood throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wood takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wood walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Wood tries to move into range but Gaspari moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Gaspari lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Wood is looking to close the distance but Gaspari sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Wood crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Wood is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
