Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Keimo Tikka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Castillo!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castillo cracks Tikka with an open hand slap.
Tikka is looking to clinch.

Tikka tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Castillo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Tikka is struggling to control the position.

Tikka creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Castillo blocks an elbow strike from Tikka.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tikka pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Tikka escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Castillo circles away from the clinch attempt.

Tikka has managed to clinch.

Castillo tightens his grip and picks Tikka up, before dumping him to the ground. Tikka manages to land in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tikka tries to get to full guard but Castillo has control of the leg.

Castillo is trying to work for a kimura but Tikka is defending well.

Castillo is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Tikka pushes Castillo off looking to stand but Castillo dives back in and keeps control.
Castillo scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Castillo drops an elbow to the side of Tikka's head.
Tikka is staying active underneath Castillo, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Tikka knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Castillo on the ground.

Castillo is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Tikka is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
