Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Willy Boggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Vardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Reed Andrews and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vardy walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Boggs cracks Vardy with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Boggs digs a good hook to Vardy's body.
Vardy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Boggs as he jumps to the side.
Horrible takedown attempt by Vardy or perhaps it was just good defense by Boggs, which made it look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vardy has his takedown stuffed
enabling Boggs to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Michael Vardy has been cut.

Boggs feints a jab promting Vardy to slip. Boggs then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Vardy slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Vardy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Vardy drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Boggs manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Vardy has Boggs in his guard.

so Vardy counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Vardy drops back, looking for a kneebar! Boggs looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Boggs looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Boggs!

Boggs feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Vardys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Boggs keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Vardy takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Vardy shoots in looking for a takedown but Boggs manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vardy's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Boggs lands a big uppercut and Vardy crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Vardy looks OK. Boggs waves Vardy back to his feet!
Vardy is rocked!
Boggs is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vardy can do to turn this around?

Boggs drops Vardy with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Vardy! Boggs dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
