The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Barbosa misses its intended target.

Barbosa has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Mc Gregor misses with a hook. Barbosa ducked under it nicely.
Mc Gregor looks for a takedown but Barbosa sprawls well.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Barbosa! But no joy.

Mc Gregor wants to get up but he can't break Barbosa's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Barbosa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mc Gregor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mc Gregor manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Barbosa pushes a forearm under Mc Gregor's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Mc Gregor is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
