Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Avo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Machida's waist but Machida gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Avo off to one side.
Machida closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Machida lands in his opponent's guard.
Avo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Machida has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Avo to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Machida is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Avo pulls down on the head and he's put Machida to sleep! This one is all over!
