Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Luk Cockhold!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Number One!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cockhold looks to throw a body kick
and One counters with a lovely straight right hand!

One has taken the fight to the clinch.
One lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
A short right hand to the side of the head by One.
One misses with a knee strike.
A head punch on the inside from Cockhold fails to land.
One lands an elbow that stopped Cockhold in his tracks for a moment.
One gets underhooks to prevent Cockhold's takedown attempt.
One gets through Cockhold's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
One prevents the takedown attempt.
One lands a body punch.

One has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Cockhold regains guard immediately.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Cockhold is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and One defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cockhold preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

One missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
One postures up in Cockhold's guard and throws a big left but Cockhold blocks it.

Cockhold is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. One is aware though and is defending well.
One really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cockhold. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
One stays in close to Cockhold's body and controls the position.
It looks like One might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Cockhold on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cockhold tries to get out of the position.
Cockhold preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
One looking to sit in guard and control but Cockhold gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Cockhold loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Cockhold throwing strikes from guard but One blocks nicely.
One keeping moving, preventing Cockhold from controlling successfully.
Cockhold passes One's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Cockhold slows the pace down in half guard.
Cockhold takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Cockhold is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for One!
Cockhold trying to control but One is having none of it.

Cockhold is standing up, even though he is in mount.
One connects with the punch.

Cockhold shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
One tries to counter with a clinch but Cockhold shakes him off and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luk Cockhold. That's going to take a lot out of him.
One throws a head kick but Cockhold moves out of range.
Cockhold shoots in but no luck this time.
One cracks Cockhold with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Cockhold tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but One swivels and escapes.
Cockhold is breathing heavily.

One clinches up with Cockhold and pushes him back against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by One.
A short left from One.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cockhold tries to break the clinch but One is controlling the position.
One lands a hook to the side of the head.
A body shot lands from One.
One slows down the pace here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Number One dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


One displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cockhold.
Cockhold shoots in for a double leg but One sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Cockhold tries to keep at a distance but One has taken the fight into the clinch.
One lands a shoulder strike.

One's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Luk Cockhold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

One closes the distance and pushes Cockhold back into the cage.
One lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
One throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A right hook to the body lands for One.
One stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

One has clasped his hands together around Cockhold's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Luk Cockhold overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
One postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
One trying to control the action but Cockhold is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cockhold takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
One working the ground and pound but Cockhold is defending the strikes.
Check out the look on One's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
One moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
One tries to stand but Cockhold is controlling his head.
Cockhold struggling a bit here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

One goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Cockhold has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for One but great work by Cockhold.
Cockhold wants to control for a moment but One uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
One trying to control here.
One throws a strike from the bottom but Cockhold passes into side control!
The ground and pound from Cockhold seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Cockhold stands up and beckons One to his feet.

One clinches with his opponent.
One lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Number One seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Cockhold swings away with an uppercut that misses.
One stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
One lands with a short head shot on the inside.
A short right from One on the inside.
One lands a right hand that snaps the head of Cockhold backwards.


Cockhold is rocked!
One lands a right hand.
Oh Cockhold is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
One lands a body shot.

One's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
One goes for a small jab and connects. Now One goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Cockhold stumbles back but One runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Cockhold to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Cockhold will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Number One!
