Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mikhailu Banister!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Doodie Sheets!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sheets tries to clinch but Banister is having none of it.
A nice leg kick lands there from Banister.
Sheets sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Banister connects with a body shot that sends Sheets's belly button to the back.
Sheets tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Banister paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Banister connects with a crisp jab.
Banister fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Sheets dives in and grabs Banister's left leg, looking for a takedown. Banister pushes down on Sheets's head and hops out.
Sheets looks winded!
Banister lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Banister drops Sheets with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sheets looks back up at him and smiles so Banister waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Banister closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Sheets out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mikhailu Banister!
