The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harlamov shoots in and drives through. Norton sprawls well.
Norton swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Norton getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

It looks like Garik Harlamov has been cut.
No luck for Harlamov with that takedown attempt.
Norton displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Harlamov.
Norton was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Scott Norton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Garik Harlamov.
Harlamov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Norton counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Garik Harlamov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Norton drops Harlamov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Harlamov looks back up at him and smiles so Norton waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Norton looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Norton is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Norton thows a left - swing and a miss!
Harlamov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Norton rattles Harlamov with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Harlamov tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Norton dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Harlamov stiff and motionless on the mat!
