The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Smit napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Smit wants to get back to his feet but Jones drags him back down.
Jones works to advance to full mount. Smit defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Jones looking for a guillotine from mount but Smit is having none of it.
Jones pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smit wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Jones throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Smit has his hands clasped together but Jones breaks the hold and Smit is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Jones!
