Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andrea Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrea Parker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Jones!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Jones has managed to clinch.
Parker tries to pull guard but Jones won't allow it.

Jones jumps into guard, dragging Parker to the mat.
Jones looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Parker puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Jones kicks off Parker and gets to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jones forces Parker back against the cage and clinches.
Parker avoiding damage as Jones throws knees to the body.
Parker blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Parker tries to score a body lock takedown but Jones shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Jones lands a nice knee to the body.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Jones takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Jones is trying to maintain a safe position but Parker gets an underhook and turns Jones into the cage.
Parker goes for a takedown attempt but Jones pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Parker tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Jones manages to circle out of the way.

Parker jumps guard but Jones turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Jones lands with a light punch inside.
Parker tries to pull guard but Jones holds him up against the cage and eventually Parker drops back down to his feet.
Parker is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Jones is defending well.
Jones lands an elbow inside.


It looks like Andrea Parker has been cut.
Parker can't get the takedown.
Jones creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Parker's defenses.

Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Jones gets a clinch.
Parker tries for a takedown but Jones manages to get underhooks.
Parker is breathing heavily.

Jones avoiding damage.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Jones.
The crowd are getting on Jones's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
Jones is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Parker jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jones walks away with a smile on his face. Parker gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Jones rushes Parker and presses him up against the cage.
Jones scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Parker gets control of Jones's arms and successfully pulls guard. Parker will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Parker is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea.

Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Parker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jones won't allow Parker to get back to his feet.

Jones decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Parker, up you get!

Parker seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Jones darts in and clinches Parker up against the cage.
Jones scores with a nice hook to the head.
A short body shot lands from Jones as the two fighters clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Parker is trying to pull guard but Jones turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Parker but Parker pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Parker has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Parker gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Jones is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Jones decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Parker, pushing him back against the cage.
Parker is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jones to keep the fight standing.

Jones lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Jones manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Parker keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones is pressed up against the cage. Parker has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jones down to the mat. Jones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Jones closes the distance and pushes Parker back into the cage.

Parker gets control of Jones's arms and successfully pulls guard. Parker will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Jones looks for a takedown but Parker sprawls well.
Parker is looking to counter the offense by Jones and move into the clinch.

Jones shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Parker napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Parker stops Jones from passing to mount.
Parker is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Parker is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Parker wants to break the clinch but can't.
Parker goes for a takedown attempt but Jones pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Parker has picked Jones up - he's going for a ride! Parker dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Jones manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Jones is trying hard to land a takedown here. Parker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Andrea Parker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Jones.

Jones has closed the distance and engaged Parker in a clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Parker's efforts to push away.

Parker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Andrea Parker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
John Jones is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Jones tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

John Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Jones winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
