Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Buck Futter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armondo Munoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Armondo Munoz will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Buck Futter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Armondo Munoz!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Futter blocks the body kick.
Munoz misses with a looping left.
Munoz throws a head kick but Futter moves out of range.
Futter takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Futter is trying hard to land a takedown here. Munoz sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Futter on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Munoz. Munoz obviously looking to wear him down.
Futter has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cylon Training Academy in the buildup to the fight.
Munoz misses with a double jab
and Futter counters with a right hand to the body.
Futter shoots in for a takedown but Munoz shows good takedown defense.
Futter walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Futter stands up over Munoz, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Futter drops back looking for a leg! Munoz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Munoz manages to kick Futter off! Futter jumps back into Munoz's guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Futter is trying to get an arm triangle but Munoz is defending well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

You can see the frustration on Futter's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

That was a close round but I would say that Buck Futter will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Munoz moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Munoz walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Futter checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Munoz's jab looks to have found its range, popping Futter under the eye.
Futter dives in and grabs Munoz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Munoz pushes down on Futter's head and hops out.

Futter fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Munoz sprawls well initially but Futter persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Futter is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Futter connects with a nice short shot to Munoz's temple.

Munoz is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
The referee warns Munoz that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Futter, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
