Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pervis Whitaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Dunham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dunham has chosen Sentenced - Leverage as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Whitaker shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Whitaker showed some decent athleticism there.
Whitaker is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Dunham is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Whitaker asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dunham manages to stand up with Whitaker still on his back. Eventually Whitaker drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.
Whitaker shoots for a double leg takedown but Dunham sprawls well. He's pushed Whitaker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Whitaker throws a hook to the side of Dunham's head but Dunham sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Whitaker lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Whitaker fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Dunham takes one on the chin but seems OK.
