Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jake Longmire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maniac Heat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Longmire misses the shot to the body.
Longmire misses with an uppercut. Heat saw that one coming.
Longmire connects with a body shot.
Longmire lands a head shot.

It looks like Maniac Heat has been cut.
Longmire connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Heat momentarily.
The fighters circling - Longmire throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Oooooh!!! Longmire has knocked Heat down with a huge combo! Longmire steps away and waves a wobbly Heat back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Heat takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Longmire throws the left hand but Heat avoids the punch easily.
It seemed like Heat was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Heat takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

That has opened up Maniac Heat's cut even more.

Heat displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Longmire throws out the jab.

Jake Longmire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A looping hook to the body misses from Longmire. Heat does a little dance to reset his feet.

Heat closes the distance and clinches up with Longmire, looking for a takedown. Heat pushes Longmire against the cage but Longmire circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Heat scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Longmire is looking for a sweep.
Longmire takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Longmire tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Heat should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Longmire is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Heat off and has taken his back!
You can see the frustration on Heat's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Longmire just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Heat manages to reverse the position and now he's in Longmire's guard. Nice work there by Heat.

Heat seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Heat is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Longmire is looking for a sweep. Heat is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Heat working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Longmire is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Heat avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Longmire throws a right and a left that Heat avoids nicely.

Longmire rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Heat moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Heat takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Longmire lunges at Heat with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Heat's hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Longmire looks to land a right hand but Heat moved out of range.

and Longmire counters with a nice uppercut.

Heat looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Longmire!

Heat thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Maniac Heat has got the better of the ground game so far.

Heat tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Heat has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Heat lands a nice shot to the head.
Heat is landing with some decent strikes but Longmire is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Longmire is trying to escape the mount but Heat keeps good control and instead manages to take Longmire's back.

Heat is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Longmire has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Heat has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Longmire taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Heat doesn't care though - he's delighted!
