Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between All American (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Svyatoslav Vakarchuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, All American!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Svyatoslav Vakarchuk!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
American tries to clinch but Vakarchuk is having none of it.

American looking to score a takedown here. Vakarchuk is defending well but American drives through and ends up in Vakarchuk's guard.
American with a nice head shot there.

Vakarchuk has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but American can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vakarchuk is on top in guard.

Vakarchuk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. American swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Vakarchuk throws a strike but American rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Vakarchuk had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. American defends it easily.
American working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Vakarchuk's head.
Vakarchuk looking to hit a scissor sweep but American is one step ahead there.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
American is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Vakarchuk working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. American doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. American manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
American lands a couple of elbows.
American working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
American lands a couple of digs.

Vakarchuk is looking for a triangle but American pushes his legs off easily.
American distracts Vakarchuk with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

American avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
American throwing strikes from guard but Vakarchuk blocks nicely.
American is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
American postures up and lands a big shot to Vakarchuk's brow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
American trying to control but Vakarchuk is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
American with a flurry of punches that miss.
Vakarchuk looking for a sweep. Not yet Vakarchuk, not yet.
American landing some decent shots from guard.
American stopping the sweep attempt from Vakarchuk.
American with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
We've been hearing that American has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
American won't allow Vakarchuk to sweep him here.
American lands a couple of elbows.


Vakarchuk is rocked!
American postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Vakarchuk covers up, he's hurt! American keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from American and the ref steps in to end the fight! American can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). All American!
All American really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Mohito Fightwear (Laundry) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
