Dole is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Tear Away by Drowning Pool. Bob Dole will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lecter fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Dole looks to throw the jab but Lecter is out of range.
Lecter shoots for a takedown but Dole saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Dole throws a big shot that misses.
Dole throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dole bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lecter's head.

It looks like Hannibal Lecter has been cut.
Dole scores with a jab. Lecter acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Dole gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Lecter goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dole prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hannibal Lecter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lecter wants a takedown.
Lecter has Dole pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dole manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Dole pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dole throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Lecter feints and as Dole raises his hands in defense, Lecter changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Dole kicks Lecter off and gets to his feet.
Dole moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Lecter is breathing heavily.
Dole drops Lecter with a naaaaasty hook - Lecter is in real trouble here! Dole dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
