Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elton John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerome LeBanner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
John shoots in looking for a takedown. LeBanner tries to sprawl out of it but John keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. LeBanner manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
John misses with a series of wild punches.
LeBanner slips a jab and a cross from John.
LeBanner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but John moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
John tries to clinch there but LeBanner circles away.

LeBanner shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than LeBanner was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

John is wriggling around trying to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

LeBanner looking to control but John is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

LeBanner stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
John misses with a takedown attempt
and LeBanner counters with a two punch combo.
John fails in his attempt to clinch.
John doesn't succeed with the takedown

and LeBanner counters with a head kick that drops John!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elton John. That's going to take a lot out of him.
John is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

LeBanner stands up and waves to John to follow him.
A head kick by LeBanner - that's a beauty! John is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even LeBanner can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
