Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fritz Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pretty Average (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Average comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ghost - Cirice kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Fritz Reed has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pretty Average!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Steve Erwin and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Average drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Reed trying to keep a closed guard but Average is proving a slippery customer.
Average is stalling in the full guard.
Average won't allow Reed to sweep him here.
Average passes into half guard.
Average wants to pass to mount but Reed is defending the position.
Average wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reed keeps working.
Reed keeping control of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reed is not content to let Average control the position.

Reed landing rabbit punches to the side of Average's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points.
Average perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Reed is trying to control but can't.
Reed really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Average seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Reed does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Reed is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Reed will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Reed with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Average isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Reed stacks Average on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Reed!

You can see the frustration on Average's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

A close round but Pretty Average will probably get the nod.

Reed misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Reed showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Average.
As Average looks to move away, Reed throws a big counter combo but Average just gets out of the way.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Reed clinches up against the cage.

Average is striking from the bottom but Reed uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Average keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Well, if Reed is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Reed is controlling the pace.

Fritz Reed dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Average shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Reed is trying to defend but Average finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Average frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Reed wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Average.
Average unloads with some shots from mount but Reed bucks and avoids them well.
Reed tries to hold on but Average pushes him away.
Average has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Average looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Average is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Reed to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Reed shrugs it off.
Reed is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Average can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Reed is looking to escape.
Average avoids the attempt from Reed to control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Pretty Average comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Average has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
