Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Casper Vanderhose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Wells!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Damien Edna and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Wells misses

and Vanderhose counters by clinching up.
A knee to the head by Vanderhose.


It looks like Frank Wells has been cut.

Wells breaks the clinch.
Vanderhose avoids the head kick by Wells.
Wells tries a head kick but it misses.
Wells tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Vanderhose gets a double leg takedown into Wells's guard.
Wells is looking to stand back up but Vanderhose counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Wells.

Well, if Vanderhose is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Wells wants to improve his position but Vanderhose is controlling well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wells wants to stand back up but Vanderhose manages to pass into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wells can do anything to dispel that myth.
You can see the frustration on Wells's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Vanderhose prevents Wells from escaping the position.
Wells is trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vanderhose is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Wells's shoulder. That is not cool.
Wells takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Wells is trying to control Vanderhose's posture but Vanderhose avoids it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wells is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Vanderhose is controlling him well.
Vanderhose scores with punches from side control.

Vanderhose has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Vanderhose avoids the head kick by Wells.

Vanderhose scores with a takedown into Wells's guard.
Vanderhose engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Vanderhose might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Wells wants to get back to his feet but Vanderhose passes into half guard.
Vanderhose sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Wells is doing well to control the position and prevent Vanderhose from advancing to side control.
Wells is trying to stand back up but Vanderhose is controlling him

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Wells tries to get to full guard but Vanderhose has control of the leg.
Vanderhose content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Wells is doing well to control the position and prevent Vanderhose from advancing to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vanderhose escapes and gets back to his feet.
Wells pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A head kick by Wells misses

and Vanderhose counters by clinching up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Vanderhose working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

Wells breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wells has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Vanderhose lands a big head kick that sends Wells tumbling to the mat! Vanderhose takes a step backwards and waves Wells back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Wells is rocked!
Wells throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Vanderhose.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Casper Vanderhose dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Frank Wells's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Wells is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Vanderhose just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Wells has gone limp and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Casper Vanderhose!
A very excited looking Casper Vanderhose made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
