The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solis slips a jab and a cross from McClellan.
McClellan moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

McClellan scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Solis has one foot on McClellan's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Duane McClellan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Solis pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Solis walks straight into a right hand from McClellan - that's dropped him! McClellan jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Solis from any more punishment! Solis complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Duane McClellan was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
