The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cameron fails with an attempt to clinch.
Holliday looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Holliday works over Cameron's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Shirley Cameron has been cut.

Holliday closes the distance and clinches.

Holliday breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cameron tries to clinch up but Holliday circles away and keeps his distance.

Holliday jumps into guard, dragging Cameron to the mat.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Holliday uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cameron has time to react.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Holliday can do anything to dispel that myth.
Cameron throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Holliday works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Cameron is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Holliday is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Holliday has escaped and now he's on top!

Cameron might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Holliday wants to control from the top but Cameron keeps moving.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Holliday tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cameron knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Holliday is nestled in close to Cameron, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Holliday throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cameron tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Holliday is in Cameron's guard.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Holliday. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Holliday is standing up over Cameron. Cameron looks to escape but Holliday dives into side control.
Cameron tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Cameron could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sloppy strikes there by Holliday.

Cameron takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Holliday cracks Cameron with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Holliday is looking to take a break and control but Cameron is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Cameron wants to control but Holliday postures up.

Cameron is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Holliday is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Cameron has managed to free his arm - good work.
Holliday wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cameron keeps working.
Holliday has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Cameron is trying to control but can't.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Holliday is just content to waste time from the top position. Cameron takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Cameron is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Holliday trying to control the position from guard on top but Cameron is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Holliday might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cameron haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Holliday closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cameron did well to prevent Holliday getting side control.

Cameron is looking to control Holliday's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cameron avoid being mounted?

Holliday trying to mount his opponent but Cameron defends it.

Jok Holliday showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Cameron tries to counter with a takedown but Holliday is quick to defend against it.
Shirley Cameron is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Holliday will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Holliday shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cameron is trying to defend but Holliday finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Holliday is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Cameron is surviving well by controlling Holliday's body position as best he can.
Holliday wants to control the pace but Cameron is squirming around nicely.
Cameron manages to control the position for a moment.

Cameron is squirming around, avoiding Holliday's attempts to control the action.
Holliday connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
BOOM! Holliday connects with a massive shot to the dome!


Cameron is rocked!


Shirley Cameron's cut is getting worse.
Holliday takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Oh Cameron is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Holliday postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Cameron badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Holliday around the waist but Holliday pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Holliday is the winner by TKO! Holliday jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jok Holliday!
In his post fight interview, Jok Holliday started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
