PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Perello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Kasongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perello kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is One for the Money. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perello shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kasongo but Kasongo pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A nice side step and Kasongo releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Kasongo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Perello was well out of range. Poor timing from Kasongo.
Perello looks for a takedown but Kasongo sprawls well.
Kasongo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Perello but Perello pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kasongo looks to score with a jab to the body but Perello is just out of range.
Perello avoids the body shot from Kasongo.
Kasongo takes a swing at Perello's ribcage but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Perello.
And Kasongo tries to counter it with a takedown but Perello pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Perello tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kasongo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Perello somewhat.
Perello throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kasongo.
Kasongo throws out a counter right but Perello avoids it with no problem.
Kasongo throws out a powerful jab.
Perello throws a body kick that misses.
Kasongo swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Perello tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kasongo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Perello somewhat.
Kasongo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Perello sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Perello shoots in and bounces Kasongo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Perello has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Perello stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kasongo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
