Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Parks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Slater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Christian Slater is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Christian Slater!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Damien Edna and Ben Hemmingworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parks clinches with his opponent.
Slater looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Slater is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Slater drops down looking for an ankle pick but Parks pulls his leg out and moves away.
Slater looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Slater jumps guard but Parks stands there with Slater around his waist. Slater gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Parks manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Parks breaks the clinch.
Parks missing with a left hand there. Slater was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Parks waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Slater.

Parks pulls guard successfully.
Parks looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Slater really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Parks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Parks bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Slater's guard.

Parks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Parks seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Parks is working Slater over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Parks keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Slater's head.
Parks passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Parks lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Slater down.
Parks is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Slater will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Parks has hold of Slater's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Slater seems comfortable defending it but Parks has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Slater is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Slater is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Parks couldn't care less - he's delighted!
