The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herman tries to bum rush fili with a series of wild strikes but fili uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

fili is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Herman throws the kick towards the body but fili avoids it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Herman throws a right hand that fili ducks under and follows up with a left that fili also avoids with ease.

fili changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Herman tries to avoid it but fili manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Herman to the ground. Herman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Herman swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and fili connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Herman fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. fili looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but mitsi fili will probably get the nod.

Herman keeps the fight on the outside.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
fili is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Herman gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

fili lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
fili has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Herman avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

and fili counters with a one-two to the body.

fili throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
fili lands a hook that stumbles Herman back into the cage. fili follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Herman to the canvas! fili pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Herman has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
