The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mama doesn't manage to clinch there - Jacobs circles away.
Jacobs misses with a low kick.

Jacobs closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jacobs lands in his opponent's guard.

Jacobs thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mama's head.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Jacobs wants to take a breather but Mama is having none of it.

Jacobs looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Jacobs is keen to just control but Mama is a slippery customer.
Jacobs might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mama kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
