Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Maine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Luiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maine's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, 99 Problems. Thiago Luiz will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luiz closes the distance and clinches up with Maine, looking for a takedown. Luiz pushes Maine against the ropes but Maine circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Maine tries to clinch up but Luiz circles away and keeps his distance.
Luiz throws a sloppy head kick and Maine moves out of range easily.

Luiz rushes Maine and presses him up against the ropes.

Maine is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Luiz can't fight it off and eventually Maine manages to take the fight to the floor. Luiz looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Luiz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Maine!
Luiz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Luiz trying to control but Maine is having none of it.
Maine is desperately trying to improve his position but Luiz has a good base and remains in mount.
Maine wants to hold on but Luiz pushes him away.
Maine is wriggling around trying to escape.

Maine is in all sorts of trouble here.
Maine tries to lock up and control but Luiz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Luiz can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Maine is looking to escape.

Luiz has hold of Maine's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Maine manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Maine is looking to get to half guard.
Maine stops Luiz from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Luiz can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Maine is looking to escape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Maine tries to hold on but Luiz postures up.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Maine bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Maine sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Luiz's guard.
Maine throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Luiz wants to improve his position but Maine is controlling well.

Maine is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Luiz defends it well.
Luiz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Maine controlling the pace.

Luiz is in trouble now - Maine has advanced to mount!
Maine trying to control but Luiz is having none of it.
Maine avoids the attempt from Luiz to control.
Luiz looks gassed!
Maine cracks Luiz with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Maine working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Luiz turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Maine off and cradles Luiz's limp body as Maine celebrates with his corner.
