PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between AC Slater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Da Wrestler Killa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Da Wrestler Killa told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slater tries to score a power double leg takedown but Killa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Slater somewhat.
Slater moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromKilla.
Killa fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Slater.
Slater shoots in for a double leg but Killa sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Killa throws a hook but Slater avoids it easily.
Killa misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Killa throws a jab when Slater was well out of range.
Slater misses with a body shot.

Slater fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Killa to the ground. Slater is now in Killa's guard.
Slater working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Slater distracts Killa with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Slater trying to control the position from guard on top but Killa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Killa can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Slater controls the pace.
Killa is looking to stand up but Slater isn't so interested in that idea.
Slater working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Killa's head.
Slater won't allow Killa to get back to his feet.
Slater is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
We've been hearing good reports from Slater's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Killa is looking to stand up but Slater isn't so interested in that idea.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Slater postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Killa covers up, he's hurt! Slater keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Slater and the ref steps in to end the fight! Slater can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
