He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Marcus Jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Moreland sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Moreland looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Jones drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jones takes a little break here. Moreland wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Jones connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Moreland some visible discomfort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
