Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Noah Rocha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Bowman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Noah Rocha has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowman shoots in looking for a takedown. Rocha tries to sprawl out of it but Bowman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rocha manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck for Bowman with that takedown attempt.
Bowman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rocha sprawls well. Rocha wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bowman gets slowly back to his feet.
Noah Rocha has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Bowman.

and Bowman counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Rocha takes the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bowman is trying to pull guard but Rocha has him pressed against the cage.

Bowman has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Rocha uses from the top position.

Bowman controls Rocha momentarily but Rocha frees himself.

Bowman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rocha. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bowman has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Rocha off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

The referee is keeping an eye on Rocha - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Rocha working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Rocha is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Bowman is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
