Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tat Moh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatsuya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tat Moh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 42 - 28 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tatsuya Aoki!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moh fakes the leg kick and cracks Aoki in the body.
Moh scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
A slapping body kick lands there for Moh.
Moh throws a wild body kick that Aoki sees coming a mile off.
Moh showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Aoki.
Moh tries to counter by clinching up but Aoki breaks away and moves out of range.
Aoki throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Moh throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Moh takes a swing at Aoki's ribcage but misses.
Moh throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Aoki counters with a lovely shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aoki moves out of range as Moh throws a body kick.
Aoki finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Moh - that will leave a mark!
Moh looks to land a body kick but Aoki moved away.
Moh connects with a body shot.

A low kick from Moh misses

and Aoki counters with a shoot takedown. Moh fights it but they end up in guard.
Aoki throwing strikes but missing.
Moh pulls Aoki in close to prevent any damage.
Aoki pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Moh is keeping the position for now.
Aoki working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Aoki is in close to Moh's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Aoki must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Aoki throws a big right hand that misses.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Moh is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Aoki's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Aoki's back!

Aoki covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Moh lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Aoki.

Aoki is trying to stand back up.
Aoki is taking damage to the body and head.
Aoki wants to escape the position.
Aoki staying busy and making it hard for Moh to control.
Moh scores with punches to the body.
Moh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Moh tries to keep control of the position but Aoki is staying busy.
Moh is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Moh gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Moh gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Moh apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Aoki throws the left hand but Moh avoids the punch easily.

Moh goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Aoki is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Moh fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Aoki has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Aoki keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Moh looks for the body kick but Aoki saw that one coming.
Moh thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Aoki if he has to take too many more of those.
The fighters circling - Aoki throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Aoki moves out of range as Moh throws a body kick.
Aoki drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Moh defends it well.
Moh tries to close the distance and clinch but Aoki swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Aoki shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Moh napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Aoki goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Moh rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Aoki's guard! Nice work there by Moh!
Aoki controls Moh momentarily but Moh frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aoki looking for a sweep. Not yet Aoki, not yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tat Moh dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


A looping hook to the body misses from Aoki. Moh does a little dance to reset his feet.

Moh moves into the clinch.
Aoki is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Aoki changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Moh fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Moh turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Moh is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Moh holds on and takes a little breather.

Moh bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Aoki's guard.

Moh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aoki gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Moh controls Aoki momentarily but Aoki frees himself.

Moh is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Aoki is aware though and is defending well.
Aoki lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Moh stands up over Aoki, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Aoki is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Moh's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Moh's back!
Moh turns into Aoki and is now in his guard.
Aoki wants to sweep here but Moh controlling him for the moment.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Moh's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Aoki kicks Moh off and gets to his feet.
Moh throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
It seemed like Aoki was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
A big right from Moh misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Aoki throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Moh.
Moh throws a push kick but Aoki slaps the foot to one side.
Moh throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Tatsuya Aoki.
I think Aoki has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
