Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jess Blair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scotty Spotty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spotty looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Blair!
Spotty tries to advance to mount but Blair denies him.
Spotty throws a strike aimed at the side of Blair's head but Blair avoids it well.
Blair parries the strikes from Spotty easily there. Spotty is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Blair to escape.

Spotty wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Blair, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Spotty tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Spotty has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Spotty throws an elbow but Blair slips to the side and avoids it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Spotty content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Spotty is looking to take a break and control but Blair is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Blair is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Spotty asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Blair pushes Spotty away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Spotty gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Blair's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Blair drops back, looking for a kneebar! Spotty looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Spotty looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Spotty!

Spotty is trying to trip Blair. He has hold of a leg but Blair is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Spotty persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Spotty cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Spotty. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Spotty tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Spotty can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Blair controls the pace.
Blair will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Blair continues to stall.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

I would just about give that final round to Scotty Spotty.
Well Spotty has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
