Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Strongius Shorticus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Parker's choice of entrance music: Lucky You. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Peter Parker was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Parker is looking to slow Shorticus down with leg kicks.
Parker throws a quick inside leg kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Parker.
Shorticus looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Strongius Shorticus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shorticus doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Parker thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Shorticus if he has to take too many more of those.

Shorticus bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Parker wants to sweep but no luck.
Shorticus advances position into side control!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Shorticus creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Parker is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Shorticus shoots in but Parker avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Parker buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Shorticus dips to his left and cracks Parker with an uppercut!
Shorticus shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Parker pinned against the cage. Parker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Shorticus jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Parker walks away with a smile on his face. Shorticus gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Shorticus takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Parker connects with a good right hand that stumbles Shorticus. Shorticus circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Parker throws a nice inside leg kick.
Parker throws a leg kick which misses Shorticus's front leg but catches the back leg as Shorticus tries to avoid it.

Parker moves into range and clinches up with Shorticus.
Parker lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Shorticus has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Parker is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Shorticus takes an elbow to the temple.
Parker lands a nice elbow.

Parker unloads a knee to the mid-section. Shorticus lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Shorticus looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Parker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Shorticus drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Parker manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Shorticus has Parker in his guard.

Parker looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shorticus with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Peter Parker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Shorticus misses with some strikes from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
