Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Larry Cucumber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rose Mauler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cucumber attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Cucumber closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mauler quickly recovers to half guard.

Cucumber is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cucumber seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Cucumber drops an elbow to the side of Mauler's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mauler is looking for a sweep. Cucumber is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cucumber is nestled in close to Mauler, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Cucumber is trying to control. Mauler wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Cucumber working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Mauler is not content to let Cucumber control the position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mauler manages to get to full guard.
Cucumber stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mauler swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cucumber knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mauler on the ground.

Cucumber wants to free his trapped foot but Mauler is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Cucumber is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mauler is surviving well by controlling Cucumber's body position as best he can.

Cucumber moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Mauler.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Cucumber fails to land the takedown.

Cucumber moves into range and clinches up with Mauler.
Mauler tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cucumber smiles and moves away.
Mauler defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cucumber.

Cucumber takes the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cucumber has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mauler uses from the top position.

Mauler is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Cucumber is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Cucumber has escaped and now he's on top!
