Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Vermeer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lotus Pod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lotus Pod!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Santiago Holmes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vermeer ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Pod avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Pod steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Vermeer.
Vermeer looks to score with a jab to the body but Pod is just out of range.
Vermeer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Vermeer thows a left - swing and a miss!
Vermeer lands a slapping body shot.
Vermeer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pod jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Pod on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Vermeer throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pod sees it coming and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pod moves in looking to clinch but Vermeer pushes him off.
An attempted straight right counter from Vermeer misses the target.
Vermeer swats away the attempt to clinch by Pod.
Pod uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vermeer.

A big right from Vermeer misses.
Pod wants to counter with a clinch but Vermeer pushes him away.
Alexander Vermeer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vermeer wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Vermeer lands the left hand.
Pod moves in looking to clinch but Vermeer pushes him off.
Vermeer throwing a counter right hand but Pod manages to avoid it.
Pod fails in his attempt to clinch.
Vermeer connects with a right hand. Pod shakes it off.

It looks like Lotus Pod has been cut.
Vermeer throws a body shot but no joy.
Pod is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Vermeer stuns Pod with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
A cross from Vermeer lands.
Pod takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Vermeer works Pod's body with a nice hook.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pod tries to clinch but Vermeer is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pod takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Vermeer drops Pod with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Pod looks back up at him and smiles so Vermeer waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Pod is rocked!
Vermeer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pod is still on wobbly legs! Can Vermeer finish him?
Vermeer drops Pod with a straight right hand, right on the button! Vermeer follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexander Vermeer!
Alexander Vermeer decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
