The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mauler slaps away a takedown attempt from Tee, before circling back to the center of the mat.
No luck for Mauler with that takedown attempt.
Tee fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Rex Tee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tee shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mauler sprawls well. Mauler wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tee gets slowly back to his feet.
Mauler drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Tee defends it well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rex Tee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mauler defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tee.
Tee tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mauler sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tee somewhat.

Tee misses with an uppercut.
Tee shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mauler as he avoids it easily.
Tee shoots in but Mauler avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mauler tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Tee looks to land a right hand but Mauler moved out of range.
Tee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mauler's waist but Mauler gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tee off to one side.
Mauler is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Tee takes a swing at Mauler's ribcage but misses.
The fighters circling - Tee throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mauler changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Tee throws a lazy right hand but Mauler sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Tee goes for a double leg but Mauler avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mauler continues to drive forward.
Mauler drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Tee defends it well.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tee.
Tee is breathing heavily.

Tee just misses with a punch to the body.
Tee fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Tee gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Mauler counters with a shoot takedown. Tee fights it but they end up in guard.
Mauler slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Mauler tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mauler has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Mauler is working to tighten his grip on Tee's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Tee has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Mauler is really squeezing tight and eventually Tee passes out! Mauler breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
