Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Juan Sharp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vindigo Muriek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Juan Sharp has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharp dodges the punch combination from Muriek.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Muriek.

Sharp bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Muriek has Sharp up against the cage in a clinch.
Sharp misses with a knee to the head.
Sharp working hard to break the clinch.
Sharp keeps control of Muriek as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Muriek wants to get back to striking at distance but Sharp won't allow it.

Muriek tightens his grip and picks Sharp up, before dumping him to the ground. Sharp manages to land in guard.

Muriek stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Sharp has closed the distance and engaged Muriek in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Sharp's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Sharp tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Sharp stalling against the cage.

Muriek has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Sharp is trying to keep an underhook but Muriek manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Muriek wants to take a breather but Sharp is having none of it.
Sharp has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Muriek is working away from the top position though.
Sharp is trying to get back to full guard.

Muriek slips a nice elbow through Sharp's hands, connecting with Sharp's forehead.

Sharp trying to control but Muriek postures up.
Muriek wants to pass the guard but Sharp is defending well.
Muriek drops an elbow to the side of Sharp's head.
Sharp really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sharp is not content to let Muriek control the position.

Sharp avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Muriek.
Sharp is controlling Muriek's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Sharp has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Muriek is working away from the top position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Sharp has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Muriek is on him like a limpet, forcing Sharp back against the cage.
Sharp is looking to break free of the clinch but Muriek has double underhooks.

Muriek lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Sharp kicks Muriek off and gets back to his feet.

Muriek shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Muriek showed some decent athleticism there.
Sharp scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Muriek manages to mount him!
Muriek lands a heavy elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Juan Sharp will probably get the nod.
That's time! Sharp's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Muriek fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sharp sprawls well initially but Muriek persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Sharp is trying to control but can't.
Sharp is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Sharp knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Muriek on the ground.

Muriek wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sharp keeps working.

Muriek seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Muriek drags the fight down to the ground.

Sharp wants to get up but he can't break Muriek's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Sharp is in trouble now - Muriek has advanced to mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Muriek is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Sharp has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Sharp!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Muriek trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Muriek tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Muriek looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Muriek is breathing heavily.
Muriek is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sharp throwing strikes from guard but Muriek blocks nicely.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Sharp's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vindigo Muriek showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Sharp closes this distance looking for a takedown but Muriek circles away.
Muriek looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

Sharp gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Sharp has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Muriek off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Vindigo Muriek is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Muriek looking to score a takedown here. Sharp is defending well but Muriek drives through and ends up in Sharp's guard.
Muriek tries to stand but Sharp is controlling from the bottom.

Muriek takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Sharp is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Muriek gets to his feet - Sharp follows without any prompting.

Muriek shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Muriek was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Sharp parries the strikes from Muriek easily there. Muriek is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Sharp to escape.
Muriek tries to move to mount but Sharp blocks the move with his legs.
Sharp is looking to reverse the position.

Muriek decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sharp to his feet.
Sharp has his takedown stuffed

and Muriek holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Sharp is trying to break the clinch but Muriek has him pressed against the cage.

Muriek manages to pull guard.
Sharp throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Sharp will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sharp postures up in Muriek's guard and throws a big left but Muriek blocks it.

Sharp throws a strike but Muriek rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
