Malone closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Mabus wants to control but Malone postures up.
Mabus is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Malone has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Mabus tries to buck Malone off but Malone is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mabus throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Malone tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mabus is in Malone's guard.
Malone is trying to control the position but Mabus postures up.
Mabus is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Mabus is working Malone over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
