PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between William Oberhauser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gill Carver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gill Carver told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gill Carver!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carver swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Oberhauser to counter with a crisp jab.
Carver misses with a body shot
and Oberhauser counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Oberhauser swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Carver.

Carver throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Oberhauser was covering up waiting for the punch and Carver finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Oberhauser manages to escape and get back to his feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Carver shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Oberhauser manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Oberhauser pushes a forearm under Carver's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Carver is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
