Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Face Trip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josei Mulq (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Josei Mulq enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Face Trip!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Josei Mulq!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mulq shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Trip as he jumps to the side.
Trip avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mulq misses with a straight right.
A jab from Mulq does it's job there.
Mulq scores with a three punch combo!
It looks like Face Trip has been cut.
Nice sprawl there from Trip as Mulq shoots in.
Mulq lands with a thumping leg kick.
Trip forces Mulq back against the cage and clinches.
Trip misses with a knee to the head.
Mulq wants to break free but Trip has control.
Mulq keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Trip's efforts to push away.
Trip gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Trip lands a couple of elbows.
Mulq really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Trip. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mulq is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Trip has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Mulq is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Trip seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mulq for as long as he can get away with.
Trip is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mulq sees it coming and defends easily.

Mulq pushes Trip off but Trip dives into side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mulq tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Trip wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Trip remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Mulq tries to close the distance and clinch up but Trip swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Trip changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mulq tries to avoid it but Trip manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mulq to the ground. Mulq escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mulq throws a right hand that Trip ducks under and follows up with a left that Trip also avoids with ease.
Trip tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mulq defends well and Trip ends up having to push Mulq into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Trip drops his hands momentarily and Mulq takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Trip avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mulq decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Trip is trying to stand back up but Mulq is controlling him
Trip won't allow Mulq to pass to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Trip makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mulq will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Trip closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mulq to the mat! Mulq manages to get full guard.

Trip drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Trip jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Mulq wants to stand and escape but Trip is having none of it.

Mulq wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Trip manages to pass to side control.

That was a close second round but I would say that Face Trip will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Mulq swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Trip rushes Mulq and presses him up against the cage.
Mulq takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Trip manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Trip pushes Mulq off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Trip has managed to clinch.
Trip works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Mulq wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Trip is now in half guard.

Trip passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mulq!

Trip is landing with some decent strikes but Mulq is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Mulq tries to reverse the position but Trip maintains control.

Trip is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mulq to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mulq shrugs it off.
Trip looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Mulq is bucking up trying to escape but Trip cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Face Trip overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Trip has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Face Trip showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Trip, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
