Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Alucard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nikolay Nechvidov!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alucard with a lazy takedown attempt
and Nechvidov counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Nechvidov.
Nechvidov lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Alucard looks like he's trying to stand up.
Nechvidov is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Alucard!
Alucard wants to control but Nechvidov is having none of it.
Alucard's coaches at Grappling Oasis - Elite circuit have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Nechvidov might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Alucard takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Alucard is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Nechvidov postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Alucard looks a forlorn figure.
Alucard is rocked!
Nechvidov is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Nechvidov extends the arm and Alucard is forced to tap!
