PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dave Priest (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roberts has chosen Break Stuff as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Max Roberts was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Priest bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Priest knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Roberts on the ground.

We've been informed that Roberts has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Priest tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Roberts presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Roberts sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Roberts takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

It looks like Dave Priest has been cut.

Roberts swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Priest is now in Roberts's guard. A big mistake from Roberts there, giving up the dominant position!
Roberts is pulling down on Priest's head. It's preventing any offense from Priest, at least for the moment.
Roberts is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
