Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Juarez Hook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and rasan gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hook comes into the arena with Yerba Buena - Guajira blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, rasan gracie!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab-cross combination lands for Hook and sends gracie crashing to the mat! Hook follows him down to the mat - gracie regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like rasan gracie has been cut.
Hook tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Hook is taking a breather. gracie says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
gracie tries to get to full guard but Hook has control of the leg.
Hook knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for gracie on the ground.
Hook wants to take a breather but gracie is having none of it.
Hook is really struggling to control gracie but he's trying to hold on to the position.
gracie has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hook is working away from the top position though.
Hook tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hook misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hook swings and misses with a hook to the body.

gracie has managed to clinch.
gracie tries for a takedown. No joy.

gracie has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Hook clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
gracie gets his hands free as Hook looks to control.
Hook can't escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hook tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
gracie thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Hook wants to control but gracie is having none of it.

gracie working for a submission but Hook is keeping him at bay.

gracie goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Hook turns into him and now he's in gracie's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
gracie looks gassed!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hook stands up and waves to gracie to follow him.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
gracie avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Hook sprawls well. He's pushed gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
gracie shoots in and drives through. Hook sprawls well.
Juarez Hook has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of rasan gracie.
Hook dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on gracie. That did some damage!
Hook fails to land with a series of punches.
gracie shoots in but no luck this time.
Hook darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Hook lands with a nice combination. gracie backs away looking to recover.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hook fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked gracie out cold! Brutal finish!
