Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Remy Valentine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joni Johnsso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valentine comes into the arena with Megadeth-Kill the King blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Remy Valentine has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valentine is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Johnsso.
Johnsso fails with a takedown attempt.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Valentine fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Johnsso on the side of the head.
Johnsso shoots in for a takedown but Valentine shows good takedown defense.

Valentine clinches up with Johnsso and pushes him back against the ropes.

Valentine is trying to stand back up but Johnsso is controlling him

Johnsso is working for a submission of some sort.
Valentine is trying to control but can't.
Johnsso is looking to advance position but Valentine won't allow it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Johnsso tries to move into range but Valentine moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Valentine pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Valentine throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Johnsso looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Valentine is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Johnsso tries to free his leg and advance position but Valentine is retaining full guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Johnsso drops back looking for a leg! Valentine is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Valentine manages to kick Johnsso off! Johnsso jumps back into Valentine's guard.
Valentine pulls Johnsso in close to his closed guard and prevents Johnsso from doing any damage or advancing position.

Valentine wants to sweep but no luck.

Valentine knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnsso on the ground.
Valentine is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Johnsso is pressing down on Valentine's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Valentine is looking to take a break and control but Johnsso is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Valentine wants to free his trapped foot but Johnsso is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Valentine is keen to just control but Johnsso is a slippery customer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Johnsso shoots in but Valentine avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Johnsso shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Valentine as he jumps to the side.

Valentine swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Johnsso checks a leg kick.
Valentine throws an overhand right that lands on Johnsso's shoulder, as Johnsso tries to avoid the shot.
Valentine lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Johnsso at a distance.
Valentine uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Johnsso has time to react.

Valentine lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Johnsso tries for a takedown but Valentine sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Johnsso looks up at the clock. Bad move! Valentine lands a right hand from hell, dropping Johnsso. Valentine pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
